Our Story

Beyond Dreams is one of the largest content creation companies in India. The company has produced over 25 top rated Indian television series (over 10,000 episodes) and won over 35 awards and 135 nominations at various national and international award ceremonies.Beyond Dreams was formed by Yash A Patnaik and Mamta Yash Patnaik in 2007.

One of the company’s first forays into the entertainment marketplace was the long-running drama “Ek Veer Ki Ardaas Veera” which remained a slot leader across all Indian channels for over 800 episodes. Veera went on winning awards at all prestigious awards ceremonies. In 2007, the company produced its first weekend fiction series Babbanbhai Vs Bimlatai for 9X channel. This was followed by Combala Investigation Agency (CIA) on Cartoon Network's Pogo, Chehra on Star Plus, Rang Badalti Odhni on Star One, Jamunia on Imagine TV, Junoon on Life OK, Main Na Bhulungi for Sony. Beyond Dreams produced an experimental day horror feature film Kaalo in 2010, which won many national and international awards including 'Best Film' at the prestigious SA Horrorfest, Cape Town.

In 2012, Beyond Dreams expanded its business to digital, comics, animation and publication. Same year Beyond Dreams launched its first fully owned subsidiaries 'Inspire Films Private Limited' for live action content and 'Proto Entertainment Private Limited' for comics, animation and publications. In 2013, the Group signed a deal with Star India's youth centric GEC 'Channel V' and produced one of the most successful youth series of India - 'Sadda Haq'. The series caught the imagination of young India and became an overnight sensation. Sadda Haq ran for 900 episodes as India's number one youth fiction series. This was followed by numerous youth series of the Group for the channel with Million Dollar Girl, Secret Diaries, Twistwala Love and many more.

Sony Entertainment Television, a leading Indian broadcaster, commissioned a drama series Kuchh Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi to Beyond Dreams in 2015. The show became an instant hit not just on television but on internet too. Kuchh Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi has generated over 600 million views in last 14 months from Youtube alone. In 2017 India's number 1 English daily Times of India conducted a global poll on Indian fiction shows in which Kuchh Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi was declared the most popular Indian fiction series with 56% of the total votes. The group employs over 100 people in the central office in Mumbai. Yash A Patnaik spearheads the business the group as the Chief Managing Director and Mamta Yash Patnaik oversees the content of the company as the Chief Creative.

Mr. Yash Patnaik, the founder and CEO of the company, started out as a journalist for print as well as electronic media and then went on to work with leading production houses and television channels. He started Beyond Dreams Entertainment in 2007 with his wife Mamta Patnaik. He went on to produce over 25 top rated Indian television series (over 10,000 episodes) and won numerous accolades for them.

Mamta Yash Patnaik is the Creative Director of Beyond Dreams Entertainment and handles all television production under Inspire Films Pvt. Ltd. Mamta started her career in advertising. She has to her credit as writer more than 3000 episodes of various soaps for leading broadcasters of India like Star Plus, Star One, Zee TV, Sony Entertainment Limited, Sahara One, Sab TV and 9X.
